What’s the story

Dead Fresh first hit local markets around Ireland in the Summer of 2017 with the sole purpose of bringing high-quality frames and lenses at half the price compared to other major retailers.

We also provided locals with something unique to the Irish market in that we were the first to introduce wooden shades with premium polarised lenses. We worked part-time on weekends and gradually built up a following. We enjoyed several years slinging shades from our permanent spot every Saturday and Sunday in the famous Howth market venue based in Dublin. With the help of friends we attended many markets and In the Summer of 2018 we hit up our first music festival, Castlepallooza, and we honestly knew from that weekend that this is where we wanted to be, travelling around different events, meeting thousands of new people and having a laugh. From there we continued our search for music festivals and local markets and attended some big names like Body & Soul, All Together Now and the Dublin Christmas Flea. Safe to say we had a blast and if it wasn’t for these events we would never be where we are today

In late 2019 we finally launched our first clothing line “Dead Fresh Originals” alongside our new website which was designed and built in house. Our clothing was inspired by being out and about, feeling comfortable, relaxed and totally chill. We create essential pieces that will last a lifetime and we guarantee quality.

We choose all our materials from trusted manufacturers and even do our own embroidery and tagging in house while outsourcing other products like the creation of our premium shades.

As far as sustainability goes, we’re not the best but we certainly strive to do more and more, so we use organic cotton and recycled polyester wherever we can, our frames are also made from a material called cellulose acetate which is a renewable resource and less harmful than a polycarbonate plastic which is made from petrochemicals.

We’d like to say MUCH LOVE to all the beautiful people we have met and who supported us over the years. We’re finally in a place where we can say we did it and it’s all down to you folks who made it happen.
